Why use Tamang Tree Services?

“We want to use our speciality in forestry, tree surgery and woodland management to get the best results for our clients and to help our environment to prosper.”

Our founder, Sarki Tamang, has had a love for all things outdoors since childhood. Born in Nepal, he grew up farming, lumberjacking, portering and organising trekking and climbing routes.

Sarki and his family moved to England in 1994. Sarki began work as a landscape gardener, responsible for the upkeep of parks and recreational areas at Glendales, Lancashire. Later, he worked for Kneps Farm Enterprises, where he made new caravan bases and paths, laid turf and slabs, drove tractors and diggers, and built fencing.

Following a move to Ambleside, Sarki attended Myerscough College and became fully qualified to British Standard 3998 (CS30, 31a, 31b, 38 and 39). He then began to work for Longbow Forestry, where he had the opportunity to become self-employed. During this time, he worked on felling, cross-cutting, planting and chain-sawing.

Sarki has undertaken First Aid and drystone walling courses and is also a member of the Free Spirit Taekwondo Association, through which he gained 4th Dan in this martial art – he now runs his own club in Ambleside.

He has ensured that Tamang Tree and Landscape Services stays true to its roots – the company is committed to the protection and conservation of our environment and our wildlife. And we pride ourselves on strong customer service, which takes into account the individual needs of each and every client.
